The Ski Club Hochgebirge runs the annual Hochgebirge Challenge Cup, first run in 1931 and the oldest continually run alpine ski race in North America and perhaps the world.

The 2025, 85th Anniversary Hochgebirge Challenge Cup will be Sunday January 19 at Mittersill at Cannon Mountain, Franconia, New Hampshire. Post race awards at the Mitteresill Performance Center. Registration will be from 7:30 - 8:30 at the Performance Center. Please contact Race Chair Lili Winslow for information, including regarding availability of lodging at the club’s Franconia house:

2024 Ski Club Hochgebirge Challenge Cup, Winners; The Scary Larrys led by Matt Dodge with Kyle Anderson, Lee Ormiston, and Bruce Pratt

The 2024 J. Michael Harding Trophy for the fastest women's team went to Ronnie's Rocket with Margaret Vaugh, Patti Lane, and Becka Padgett.
